gynura-bA perennial herb that can reach 18-20 feet long if not kept in check. It is best grown in partial shade, though is adaptable to full sunlight, with well-draining, fertile soil that is kept moist at all times. Initial planting under direct sunshine will result in burnt leaves and stunting in growth. Growth should resume once the plant has acclimated to its new growing conditions.  The leaves are bright green, and smooth to touch. The shape of leaves can vary depending on the growing conditions rnaging from round to ovate in shape but are all shallow-toothed at the margins.
